President’s Message
An Introduction

Hello and Welcome to 2026! I’d like to use this forum to take a moment and introduce myself, provide some background on how I got here, and my promise to you for the future. I’m Jeremy Gothard, your GROWBA president. I joined the GROWBA board as a director when the Slinger-Richfield Association was dissolved and brought into GROWBA. I served on the Slinger-Richfield Association for eight years. Starting at the director level. I was then voted in as Vice-President of the association. Shortly after that, the then current president left the association for personal reasons, and I was placed as President.
My time with Slinger-Richfield was filled with excitement and opportunity, as well as challenges. We worked together to grow bowling leagues and tournaments for our two houses, Pioneer Bowl, and Kettle Moraine Bowl, now, The Kettle. We worked as a group to work through the hurdles of COVID, and some major rule changes to the games. We also worked through the closing of Kettle Moraine Bowl. Side note, thank you Kastens for everything, enjoy your retirement!
It was the closing of Kettle Moraine that got the Slinger-Richfield Association to sit down and discuss the future of the association and best plans moving forward. When I became President, I knew it was time to look closely at what was best for our board, our houses, and most importantly, our members. Discussions were had and ultimately the decision to dissolve and join GROWBA was made.
As part of the dissolution and transition into GROWBA, Dawn Groom, Pam Hornung, and I joined the GROWBA Board of Directors. At the end of last season, it was formally announced that Tony Coffee, President Emeritus, would be stepping down as President of GROWBA. I applied for the position and was voted in as President effective this season for a three-year term. During this time, we also welcomed Caitlyn Flowers and Michael Flanders as Directors.
I have bowled in sanctioned leagues since 2017 at Kettle Moraine Bowl. Today you will find me bowling every other Saturday on the Ring of Fire league at Pioneer Bowl. I live in West Bend and frequent the pub at King Pin Bowl. I will be working my way to all our houses this bowling season to introduce myself, have some drinks, and roll some games. If you see me out, say hi if you like.
As your President, I assure you that I will be doing everything that I can to ensure the work Tony and the board has put in does not stop or slow. We will continue to work together with our houses and members to grow bowling. Make sure you check our website often for news, events, and updates. There are some exciting things coming up, and this site is where it all will be posted.
Thank you,

Jeremy Gothard
